About the role

Working within the classroom the role of
Education Support Officer is responsible for supporting and enhancing the student learning experience.

Reporting to the Head Teacher, you will provide daily face-to-face support to a diverse range of students and be a passionate advocate for supporting youth on their educational journey.

You will based at
Shellharbour campus with the supportive Career Pathways, Aboriginal Languages & Employability Skills team.

A typical day in the life of an Education Support Officer may look like this:

  • Provide support to students to carry out tasks and understand their learning materials
  • Encourage ongoing engagement and motivate students to complete their tasks and activities
  • Help students by providing followup instructions and opportunities for students to practice their skills

_ This role does not teach or prepare lessons/resources and does not deliver training nor undertake assessment.
