About the opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Retirement Village Manager to manage our Fernhill Retirement Village in Caboolture.

You'll be responsible for managing operations and sales of the Retirement Village to achieve high levels of resident satisfaction and meet agreed occupancy targets.

You will be active in promoting a strong customer focus culture, positive relations and brand recognition in the community. Our villages are among the first in Australia to be awarded Australian Retirement Village Accreditation Scheme (ARVAS).

A week in the life of your new role**:

  • Resident satisfaction and experience by delivering social activities and events
  • Manage engagement of residents and the Resident Committee to optimise resident empowerment and satisfaction
  • Manage the sales process to ensure sales and occupancy targets are optimised and achieved
  • Manage and update sales enquiries and build relationships with prospective residents
  • Provide timely and effective communication with prospective residents and outgoing residents or their appointed representative to ensure a positive experience for both incoming and outgoing residents
  • Lead and coordinate Retirement Village operations ensuring compliance with the Retirement Villages Act, Code of Conduct and Accreditation standards
  • Manage budget, resource planning and strategy formulation for the Retirement Villages

We would love to hear from you if you have

  • Genuine passion for interacting with older people
  • Demonstrated management experience in a similar role within retirement living, business, hospitality, finance, property management or health sector
  • Sales experience in property or other Business to Customer environment with an ability to build strong client relationships to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Highly developed interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with legislation. A sound understanding of the Retirement Village Act would be highly regarded
  • Proven customercentric philosophy combined with an ability to "get things done".
  • Strong written and verbal communication including demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Budgeting and reporting experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office and relative business systems
