Job Purpose


This is a one-year fixed term position to help with Transit Systems recruitment drive as it plans for an extensive growth strategy.

The job holder will support the entire recruitment process managing both internal and external stakeholders from development of job descriptions with hiring managers, writing and placing adverts, building preferred supplier lists, shortlisting, interviewing, managing the offer and completing associated administrative tasks.


Key Accountabilities

  • Partnering with hiring managers to determine staffing needs
  • Screening resumes
  • Administering appropriate company assessments
  • Performing reference and background check
  • Coordinating interviews with managers
  • Following up on the interview process status
  • Maintaining relationships with both internal and external clients to ensure staffing goals are achieved
  • Liaise with line managers/relevant departments to ensure they are aware of start dates etc
  • Arrange and conduct exit interviews for all staff either face to face or electronically. Provide feedback accordingly (where applicable).
  • Attend Open Days and similar recruitment initiatives to maximise the talent pipeline for Transit Systems.
  • Adhoc projects relative to People and Culture

Job Specifications

  • Good organisational skills with ability to set own priorities and monitor work flow.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to investigate legislation, regulations, instructions or procedural guidelines relevant to recruitment processing and onboarding of new employees.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent computer skills with experience using MS Office programs and electronic filing systems

  • Previous experience with recruiting
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
  • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work.
