The Guest Experience Officer will work within the Melbourne City Baths, which is directly managed and operated by the City of Melbourne as a part of our Recreation and Waterways Branch.


Melbourne City Baths provides a wide range of services and programs to members and the general public, with the aim of delivering high quality aquatic and recreation experiences to improve the health and wellbeing of the community through active participation.


The Guest Experience Officer will provide a high quality guest experience acting as the first point of contact for potential and current customers.

This position will provide all levels of customer service, will be knowledgeable on the facility service and program offerings and will deliver guest experience in line with policies, procedures, customer service standards and further relevant "business as usual" operational tasks under the guidance of the Guest Experience Team Leader.


Selection Criteria
All CoM employees will demonstrate an ability to articulate and demonstrate benefits of positive culture and City of Melbourne's iCare values - Integrity, Courage, Accountability, Respect and Excellence

  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the health and fitness industry
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and point of sale systems
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated experience in relation to cash handling, point of sale reconciliation and daily banking procedures
  • Previous sales experience is desirable
To be eligible for this role, you must also have the following (or willingness to obtain prior to appointment):

  • First Aid HLTAID009, HLTAID010, HLTAID01
  • Pool Lifeguard (including CPR HLTAID009) SISCAQU002, SISCAQU006, SISCAQU007, PUAEME001, PUAEME00
  • Working with Children Check (Employee)
  • Triple vaccinations against Covid19


Please note that the
Guest Experience Officer will work across a
7-day roster, and
must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
