The Role

  • Reporting into our Head of Compliance, you'll assist in providing technical compliance advice, insight and challenge to support to the Insignia Financial Limited (IFL). divisions to ensure compliance with regulatory and legislative obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in providing 2nd line expertise in management of compliance obligations in superannuation, wealth management and advice
  • Assist in incorporating regulatory change into the compliance program
  • Assist in reviewing and developing company policies and procedures and ensuring they are compliant with regulatory and legislative obligations and are fit for purpose
  • Regularly assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the compliance management systems programs and framework and recommend effective improvements
  • Assisting with the proactive engagement with the business and Enterprise Risk and Compliance to ensure compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements
  • Help drive and maintain a strong and resilient culture of risk and compliance across the business

To Be Successful in This Role You Will Possess:

  • Experience in risk and compliance management roles in complex financial services organisations
  • Understanding of ASIC and APRA and relevant financial services laws and landscape in Australia.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong writing abilities and attention to detail
  • Experience in working in complex businesses undergoing significant transformation and remediation
  • Demonstrated commercial experience and judgement
  • Sound understanding of regulatory compliance requirements within a wealth management business environment with specific focus on Superannuation, Investments and Advice
