EDP is seeking a Restoration Consultant to join our growing team in Sydney.

We are looking for a Restoration Consultant to join our rapidly expanding Australian operations.

This is an exciting opportunity to help grow EDP and be part of the EDP journey in Australia from an early stage.

We require a self-motivated, high-calibre consultant to assist with input to develop both technical excellence and industry leading quality systems and processes.


Main Duties and Responsibilities


The purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive high-quality building restoration consultancy services to a wide range of clients.

Typically the advice is required in response to a contamination event (fire, biological hazards or illicit drugs) within a building.

This involves an assessment of the extent of damage and guidance on the level of remediation works required or an evaluation of the extent of remediation works performed to reduce hazards associated with a contamination event.

The Consultant will provide a range of the following services and activities to clients of EDP:

  • Conduct assessments of properties and develop a scope of works to manage/remediate the hazards associated with a contamination event;-
  • Conduct assessments of properties that have undergone remediation works to assess the extent of works and determine if the works were sufficient to address the hazards associated with the contamination event;-
  • Development and delivery of restoration training programs tailored to meet the demands of clients;-
  • Utilise approved sampling techniques to understand the conditions/contaminants within buildings;-
  • Prepare accurate high-quality reports in a timely fashion;-
  • Consult with clients to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions;-
  • Project manage small to medium jobs;-
  • Develop small proposals $1
  • $10K clearly detailing scope, methodology, fees and limitations;-
  • Work collaboratively in a team and independently to deliver projects on time and on budget;-
  • Business development activities for new and existing accounts;-
  • Maintain existing client relationships to expand regional business opportunities and services; and-
  • Other related activities as required and instructed to complete, from time to time

Skills and Experience Required:

REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL

DESIRABLE
Qualifications / Training

  • Tertiary Qualification in in building, or cleaning and restoration industry; or safety; and
  • Relevant training courses
  • IICRC Certification and Training for the Cleaning and Restoration Industry;
  • Completion of the AIOH Illicit Drugs and Drug Contamination
  • Fundamentals for Occupational Hygiene and Environmental Professionals course.
  • Trade Certificate
Experience

  • 1 to 5 years experience in the cleaning and restoration industry; or
  • 1 to 5 years in the building industry; or
  • 1 to 5 years in the health and safety consulting industry.
  • 5 years related work within the field of cleaning and restoration.
  • Experience in water, fire/smoke or illicit drugs damage and restoration
Skills / Knowledge

  • MS office packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
  • Accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Report Writing;
  • Organisation skills; and
  • Commercial skills.
  • People Management;
  • Project Management
Personal Qualities

  • Ability to develop good relationships with clients and representatives at all levels; and
  • Ability to work in a team of consultants.

Salary and Benefits

  • A competitive salary is offered commensurate with experience, along with a wider employment package.
  • Approved overtime and travel and subsistence expenses are payable.

Other Information
The role is Sydney based with the chance to travel nationally to service projects.


On occasion, our work involves travelling and working at weekends and other unsocial hours as required from time to time.

A full driving license is essential.

As such, full flexibility in working and travel will be required from the successful applicants to enable us to service our clients.

Must have full working rights in Australia, permanent residency or full Australian citizenship.
