We are looking for an experienced interim leader and manager to lead the provision of excellent procurement (including planning, sourcing and contract management) services, and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement across our network.

This will include the ongoing refinement and embedding of our new procurement business rules, which aim to achieve a consistent, standardised approach to effective procurement management across CALHN.


Reporting to the Executive Director Finance and Business Services, the Interim General Manager, Procurement provides effective leadership and management of a small team of procurement professionals focused on leading and promoting high-quality procurement activities, offering commercially astute advice that effectively manages risks and issues, and driving best value for money outcomes.

An appropriate tertiary qualification in a relevant field is essential.

Degree qualifications in Business, Management, Accounting or related fields as well as continuous personal development throughout the applicant's career is desirable, but not essential.

Experience in the public or private health sector is also desirable, but not essential.

Essential Requirements:

  • Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
  • Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description.
SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease:
Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
