THE ROLE

PURPOSE AND SCOPE

Supporting a team of specialized professionals tasked with overseeing and maintaining the site to ensure optimal management of infrastructure and equipment.

Ensuring the secure, efficient, and effective operation of site facilities. Tasked with 24/7 supervision, monitoring, operation, and control of all site infrastructure, utilities, and equipment.

Overseeing critical power, generation, cooling, and hydraulic systems while maintaining accurate records, conducting routine inspections, and compiling data on site infrastructure, equipment, and essential operational systems. Additionally, responsible for transitioning between various power, generation, and utility configurations, implementing safe equipment isolations, and ensuring site reliability through technical assessments and investigations into proposed changes in utilities, equipment, and infrastructure configurations.

Ready to respond and provide emergency support to prevent service interruptions and ensure the operational functionality of all critical components. This includes carrying out maintenance and repair activities on a diverse range of equipment and infrastructure.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor and control site infrastructure and equipment
• Conduct safe configuration changes and equipment isolations
• Perform technical assessments and review technical documentation
• Carry out routine equipment inspections, data collection, and metric reporting
• Execute maintenance and repairs on equipment and components
• Generate reports, document incidents and events, and collect data
• Investigate and address system anomalies
• Lead and contribute to the development of technical processes and procedures
• Ensure, promote, and uphold health and safety practices and compliance at the site and within the workplace
• Execute any other reasonable tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Hold a Certificate III in a relevant Trade or possess equivalent experience and skills, with applicable trades including Electrical, Plumbing, Refrigeration, or Mechanical. Alternatively, possess certification and experience in Facilities Plant Operation and Management.

Demonstrate a solid understanding of general equipment maintenance requirements (preventive, predictive, and corrective), technical plans, and drawings, with proficiency in reading and assessing plans and technical documents. Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Office 365 programs and Excel, are necessary.

Applicants must be citizens and either possess or be able to obtain a TS SCI with poly clearance or be Australian citizens and either possess or be able to obtain a TSPV. Field experience in Facility operations or a relevant discipline is essential.

• Possess a strong comprehension of infrastructure, facilities equipment, and operations within a large operational facility
• Have a minimum of 5 years' experience post apprenticeship trade or as a Facilities/Infrastructure Operator
• Hold HV switching certification/experience
• Have experience in Power Generation or Power Networks
• Experience working with HMI based control systems, SCADA, or BMS systems

Minimum Essential

• Driver's License
• HV switching certification
• First response/aid certification
• Confined space entry certification
• High-risk certification
• Dogger/ rigger/ Crane license

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Possess a minimum of 2 years' post trade experience as a qualified tradesperson

WORK ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL DEMANDS, AND MENTAL DEMANDS

• Operate in a standard office setting with no exceptional hazards, engaging in occasional lifting up to 10kgs, kneeling, standing, and walking, while predominantly sitting and utilizing speech/hearing abilities for communication. Maintain constant mental alertness and be capable of working under deadlines.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT

As a condition of employment, employees must secure and uphold the required level of security clearance and medical approval for each specific role. An Australian employee must acquire a Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) Department of Defence Security Clearance, while a US employee must obtain a TS/SCI with Poly clearance.

STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIREMENTS

• Must possess fluent reading, writing, and speaking skills in English

EHS REQUIREMENT
