Make a genuine difference through the work you do The role: This role is responsible for supporting the Head of, Executive and Group MLRO deliver risk stewardship, to support the NAB Group manage and mitigate its AML/CTF and Fraud risks.

You will be responsible for leading a team to provide advice to NAB's Business & Private Bank primarily on its AML/CTF & Fraud risk and partner with the business/first line risk team.


Your opportunity:

Risk based controls and operational processes to be developed in the context of new business initiatives/projects and in response to changing regulatory or internal Policy requirements.

Assess control design effectiveness and operating effectiveness.
Perform thematic or risk-based reviews in response to a change in the internal or external environment.

Advise the business on financial crime risk identification to ensure the appropriate escalation, recording, reporting and remediation of Fraud and AML issues.

Demonstrate professional and ethical behaviour in your actions by ensuring compliance with external legislation, bank standards and internal operating policies and procedures relevant to the position.

Partner and collaborate with broader Financial Crime Risk Mitigation (FCRM), business and risk teams to support the delivery of NAB's strategic financial crime agenda.


What you will bring:
Minimum 7-8 years' experience in compliance, risk management, preferably within financial services and with a focus on financial crime advisory
Minimum 2-3 years' experience in leading teams.

A comprehensive and demonstrated knowledge of financial crime requirements and regulations locally (and globally), relating to Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing and Fraud including understanding of key challenges, risks, trends and regulatory environment.

Broad understanding of banking products, processes and systems across multiple divisions would be preferable.
Understanding of compliance testing standards and methodologies.
Ability to identify matters that require further analysis and investigations.
Commercial awareness and ability to understand broader business issues.
