CNC Setter/operator

We are actively seeking an experienced CNC Mill and Lathe Setters/Operator to join a dynamic manufacturing team, equipped with state-of-the-art modern CNC machines, inner city location.

You will be working for a leading and proud Australian manufacturer, supplying throughout Australia and across some sixty countries worldwide.

This is a permanent position with the Company, offering a generous salary with overtime.

Primary responsibilities of this role encompass, but are not limited to:

• Proficiently setting up and operating multiple CNC Mills and Lathes in a high-mix, low-volume batch production environment.
• Skilfully interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Precisely working with both metric and imperial measurements.
• Conducting inspections to ensure that firstoff and inprocess components adhere to drawing specifications.
• Analysing and interpreting CMM reports to implement necessary adjustments in machine settings.
• Prioritizing the maintenance of product quality while improving productivity and efficiency to meet delivery schedules.
• Maintaining cleanliness and ensuring the proper upkeep of machines and work areas.
• Consistently adhering to WHS policies and procedures.
• Trade qualification
  (Preferred but not essential)

:

• Extensive experience in CNC setting and operation.
• Mechanical aptitude with exceptional attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Fanuc control and the ability to read and interpret NC Codes.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering and machining drawings.
• Competence in using various precision measuring instruments, such as callipers, micrometres, and various types of gauges.
• Capability to set up and operate CMM.
• Reliability, selfmotivation, and the ability to work effectively within a workshop team with mínimal supervision.
