In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering essential packaging services to one of our major clients.

You will be a key member of a high-performing team within our expansive Operations division, focusing on implementing innovative, contemporary methods to enhance the robustness, scalability, and maintainability of our client-facing systems.

Our offices are strategically located in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney. Kindly note that for success in this role, it is imperative that you are an Australian Citizen and possess either a Baseline or NV1 security clearance.

Responsibilities

As an Applications Packager, your primary focus will include:

  • Conducting software packaging and repackaging activities, spanning from discovery to deployment support
  • Creating packages for both business as usual (BAU) tasks and projects
  • Engaging in project planning sessions and supporting project delivery
  • Producing documentation for operational staff reference
  • Identifying and resolving packaging issues
  • Leveraging enterprise-grade tools, methodologies, and frameworks to deliver top-notch services and results to Datacom clients within stipulated SLAs
  • Adhering to best practices and recognized ITIL processes (e.g., change/release management).

Qualifications

You should possess a background in IT technical support, preferably within an IT-managed service provider, and have expertise in Windows 10, 11, Windows 2016/2019 Server operating systems. Proficiency in endpoint management platforms, System Centre Configuration Manager, VMware, VMware Vsphere, VMware Horizon, Active Directory, Chocolatey Package manager, SOE Template concepts, and Application control concepts is essential.

You should demonstrate exceptional troubleshooting, customer service, communication, and prioritization skills; capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Adapting to rapid changes and being available for travel to Datacom, client sites, and conferences, when necessary, is expected.

You should also display enthusiasm for continuous learning and career advancement, with a personal drive to acquire and/or uphold relevant industry or professional certifications.
