About the Role


Actively support the individual needs of frail and aged who access our Community Care Services across the Brisbane North region.

You will be a proactive and caring support worker who reflects the LWB values and is passionate about helping others.

We have Casual opportunities available for Home Care Workers that will assist our clients to maintain their independence and continue living at home through the provision of Domestic Assistance.

You will be responsible for light house cleaning, including vacuuming, dusting, washing clothes and more.


We have flexible working hours available to suit your lifestyle, and the hours can be based between school hours if required.

You will support multiple clients per day across Ashgrove, Bald Hills, Chermside, Kenmore and surrounding suburbs.

You will be located North of the Brisbane River and will be willing to travel up to 30 minutes as required, we provide reimbursement per km travelled while you are working.


Key Responsibilities

  • Domestic assistance including washing clothing and hanging out to dry, folding and ironing of clothes, changing of bed linen as required, and other light cleaning duties
  • Manual handling

Skills & Experience

  • A current unrestricted drivers licence and a reliable vehicle with minimum 3rd party insurance
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Prior experience in community services and with ageing clients is highly regarded
  • The ability to develop positive relationships with the clients and to support their individual care plans as appropriate
  • Good communication skills


To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy.
