ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a Permanent position on a 4x10 hour dayshift roster, DIDO to our Worsley Alumina Refinery, which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (45 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.
As the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a maintenance execution team for fixed plant within the Alumina refinery.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:
- Lead a safety and improvement culture by encouraging teams to identify improvements and support their delivery
- Verify maintenance execution employees and contractors adhere to safe work standards, are competent, and understand the purpose and functionality of critical controls relevant to their work
- Spend appropriate time in field to supervise the safe execution of the maintenance plan to achieve established performance targets at a shift or crew level.
- Participate in the weekly pre-planning, planning and scheduling meetings to ensure alignment and commitment of resources to the work schedule.
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Significant experience at supervisory level with a demonstrated capability to successfully lead a team, influence others and performance manage a team
- Experience gained with mining, or heavy industry - Alumina desirable
- Self-reliant contributor with distinctive proficiency in a maintenance area and detailed knowledge of procedures related to the operation.
- Intermediate proficiency in computer applications such as SAP, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Qualifications for this position are:
- Recognised trade qualification or possess significant supervisory experience in a maintenance environment
- Currently holds, or can obtain, Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor appointment
- C Class Drivers Licence
