  • Provides friendly and efficient member service by welcoming members, assisting with membership cards, understanding member packing preferences, answering inquiries, sharing details on ongoing promotions, and expressing gratitude to members.
  • Manages transactions at the register by scanning items, using a hand-held scanner or 10-key pad when necessary. Ensures accurate scanning of merchandise, promotes inventory accuracy, and obtains Supervisor approval for specific items.
  • Counts the register at the beginning of the shift, keeps the register clean, handles change orders and cash requirements, deposits excess funds to the vault, and reconciles the register at the end of the shift.
  • Accepts payments, provides change, processes cheques, credit, and debit transactions following department protocols.
  • Assists with opening and closing tasks in the Front End department, restocking products, managing register paperwork, maintaining Front End cleanliness, and organizing carts.
  • Stays informed about Front End productivity standards set by the company and the region.
  • Adheres to Front End and general safety procedures.
  • Supports other departments in the warehouse as needed.
  • Delivers courteous customer service to members, colleagues, and vendors.

Skills in operating various equipment:

  • Cash register, handheld scanners

Non-Essential Responsibilities

  • Provides assistance to other warehouse departments when required.

Proficiency in handling different tools and machinery:

  • Pallet jack, trash compactor, baler, mop, broom, click counter, 2-way radio, mop bucket with wringer.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education/Training: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in customer service and employee relations.
  • Skills: Strong customer service and employee relations capabilities.

Must have flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends.
