Our client
This highly regarded mid-sized firm located in the Sutherland Shire, practises primarily in the areas of Property Law, Family Law, Commercial Law, and Wills & Estates.

The thriving Wills & Estates team is expanding and an exciting opportunity exists for a solicitor on a full-time basis to join the team, focusing on Estate Planning.

About the Role
The successful candidate will have 3 to 5 years post-admission experience. You will advise clients predominantly in Estate Planning matters, which will include:

  • Seeing clients in the Shire office, by appointment in our city office, attending home visits (including at home, in hospital, and aged care facilities);
  • Drafting Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney, and Appointments of Enduring Guardian;
  • Advising clients on preparation of Testamentary Trust Wills; and
  • Experience highly regarded (but not essential) – reviewing companies, trusts, business structures and self-managed superannuation funds for Estate Planning purposes.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • An enthusiasm for Wills & Estates and assisting clients;
  • At least 3 years of experience in Wills & Estates, especially Estate Planning;
  • Willingness and skills to assist with Estate Administration and Estate Litigation matters as required;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Strong understanding of file and risk management;
  • Time management skills; and
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of our supportive, friendly team.
