Cornerstone Pizzeria located in the heart of coburg is looking for
experienced bartenders.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Serving customers (take-away), money handling and taking bookings.
This role is mostly focused behind the bar, however the bar is at the front of our restaurant.

Therefore, a major part of the role is answering the phone to answer questions or take bookings and orders and money handling by finalising bills.

The right candiate must have _good communication and english skills._

Ability to read and understand dockets efficiently
As a bartender at Cornerstone pizzeria, you will be given dockets to create your drinks. The ability to read and understand the dockets will be needed. As well as doing this in a timely manner. _The skill of multi-tasking and remembering will support this._

Making coffees


As part of the role of a bartender, making coffees is super important especially when customers are close to leaving the venue.

Training will be required, however the right candiate must have some general coffee knowledge. Experience is preffered.

Making and creating cocktails
A major part of the role requires the bartender to make a range of cocktails. This may include multiple of the same cocktails or a variety of different ones. Training will be required, however the right candiate must have some general knowledge. Experience is preffered as being _quick and efficient will be a skill to complete the task successfully. _Creativity can develop through this responsibility as cocktails specials are made weekly.

Pouring drinks (wine, soft drink, juices, mocktails, beer etc)


As part of the role, there will be a range of drinks that will need to be created such as soft drinks and wines.

Most of this will involve pouring and identifying the correct drinks.

Running food and drinks
At Cornerstone pizzeria, most of the busy hours occur Thursday-Saturday, but are not limited to these dates.

At times, there may be circumstances where you may not just be in the bar and may be asked to take out the corrosponding drinks or food to a table.

Cleaning and stock duties
Being a bartender does not just simply involve creating the drinks.

It involves a lot of cleaning around the bar, using a dishwasher for the glass wear and stocking the bar up.

This will involve a rotating system when delievers arrive and top ups are required.

A full time position is up for grabs, with a casual position available if needed. Many opportunities for growth within in the business such as managing the bar and working on the floor.

We are looking for someone who has the ability to work for a minimum of 12 months with long-term as the goal.
