Project Engineering Specialist

We specialize in the design, manufacture, integration, and sustainment of advanced electronic warfare components and subsystems using cutting-edge wideband radio frequency and photonic technology.

We are a trusted design and production partner to the Australian Department of Defence and a respected exporter to global defense primes.

What the role will involve:

  • Support delivery of Engineering projects on time, to cost, to scope, and to quality.
  • Mentor the engineering team allocated to specific projects to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Manage engineering projects through implementation of project governance and management tools.
  • Oversee timely delivery of project engineering requirements in accordance with Project Contract and Statement of Work.
  • Ensure project engineering effort aligns with project documentation, engineering governance, and Company policies.
  • Plan project engineering efforts and monitor progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective action as needed.
  • Ensure project engineering deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Participate in technical interactions with the Customer.
  • Support PMs in producing management reports and monthly forecasts.
  • Support Chief Engineer in developing Engineering governance policies and procedures.

What you'll bring:

  • Tertiary engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in design project engineering roles.
  • Leadership and team management experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer relationship and development experience.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Microsoft Office Suite skills (including Microsoft Project).
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Understanding of engineering organizations and key metrics for improvements.
  • Knowledge and practical experience in the Defence Industry sector preferred.
