You are a highly motivated and analytical finance leader with substantial commercial experience, business acumen and exceptional interpersonal skills.

Your verbal and written skills are second to none and you continuously strive for improvement in financial and management reporting.

About the Role


Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will provide leadership to the Operational Finance team in financial management and analysis to the Academic Units and UniSA Online on their strategic and operational decision making.

You will contribute to the whole of University's sustainable annual budgets, forecasts and medium-term financial plans that reflect internal and external policy and legislative setting.

You will oversee the University's teaching and research activities by liaising extensively with Academic Units, UniSA Online, Institutes and other areas of the University on financial performance and providing financial reporting and analysis.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline, including relevant memberships to CPA Australia, Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia or equivalent
  • Substantial commercial experience and demonstrated business acumen in large and complex organisations
  • Highly developed verbal and writing skills with demonstrated experience in presenting complex information and producing executive management reports
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to establish effective business partner relations at all levels and to respond to challenging and sensitive situations
  • Demonstrated experience in management and leadership of teams including performance management and establishment of a quality service environment
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying areas of continual improvement in financial and management reporting
  • Highlevel analytical and problemsolving skills and the ability to develop and implement innovative solutions
