About the Role Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will provide strategic financial leadership and support to the delivery of Strategic Procurement, Financial Services and Travel Management for the University.

You will drive process improvements and efficiencies to streamline and optimise financial processes to improve the delivery of financial service, and establish and foster a one team environment for the delivery of customer service.

You will manage the purchase-to-pay process model to ensure the high level of delivery of services is maintained, and lead and manage the procurement model including the University's travel program.

Essential Skills and Experience Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline, including relevant memberships to CPA Australia, Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia or equivalent
Substantial commercial experience and demonstrated business acumen in large and complex organisations, such as banking, mining or health
Highly developed verbal and writing skills with demonstrated experience in presenting complex information and producing executive management reports
Exceptional interpersonal skills to establish effective business partner relations at all levels and to respond to challenging and sensitive situations
Demonstrated experience in management and leadership of teams including performance management and establishment of a quality service environment
Demonstrated experience in identifying areas of continual improvement in financial and management reporting
High-level analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to develop and implement innovative solutions
Advanced negotiation skills developed through extensive exposure to complex procurement activities
