The Role:

The Systems Accountant is responsible for enhancing their financial reporting systems and processes.

This is an exciting opportunity to drive transformational changes in their sales and procurement processes, as well as lead the planning for their company reporting.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including finance, IT, and operations, to design, implement, and maintain financial systems that align with company requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and automation within financial processes, leveraging technology and proposing innovative solutions.
  • Oversee the integration of various financial systems, ensuring seamless data flow and accuracy of information.
  • Develop and maintain system controls and security measures to protect financial data integrity.
  • Develop change management strategies and provide guidance to facilitate smooth transitions during system implementations and upgrades.
  • Conduct regular system audits to identify and address any issues or discrepancies.
  • Train and provide ongoing support to endusers on financial systems, ensuring proper utilisation and adherence to best practices.

Skills and Experience

  • CA / CPA qualified, you are an emotionally intelligent finance executive with a track record of partnering with senior management to achieve profitable and sustainable growth.

Experience in manufacturing, engineering, construction or related industry

  • Experience in endtoend project life cycle finance.
  • Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably with a focus on financial systems and technology.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in utilising financial systems and software, such as ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and database management.
  • Familiarity with Australian accounting standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience with system implementation, customisation, and integration projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
