This key role will require a strength-based approach to delivering successful service outcomes to people with disability and their families.


Identitywa's mission is to work in partnership with individuals and families to build a community where people with disability enjoy a fulfilled life.

We have an exciting opportunity to join Identitywa's leadership team in the role of Community Manager.

The Community Manager will lead dedicated teams who deliver Identitywa's 1:1 Community Program and Short Term Accommodation respite program.

The Community Manager will be responsible for implementing the new strategic direction for the Identitywa Community Program.


The role is well suited to a person with similar experience in managing a community support program to people with disabilities.

What you'll do:

  • Provide day to day leadership and management to ensure the delivery of highquality community services to people with disability and their families.
  • Develop strategies, define priorities and monitor work performance.
  • Liaise with people and their families and provide person centred approach.
  • Proactively contribute as a member of the management team with delivering on the operational plan.
  • Deliver successful service outcomes through effective collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Work with the teams to ensure budgetary targets are monitored and met.
  • Complete reporting and other duties as required by the Executive Manager Disability Services.

What you will bring to the team

  • Tertiary qualification or a minimum 4 years relevant management experience in Community Services.
  • You will bring strong leadership skills to develop and maintain high performing communitybased teams.
  • A dedicated experience to delivering person and family centred approach to service provision for people with disability.
  • A demonstrated commitment to the core values of Identitywa to always make a commitment to act.
  • An extensive experience in leading a communitybased program for people with disability and their families will set you up for success in this role.
  • You will have the ability to translate organisational strategies into operational objectives and lead the Community teams to achieving these.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
  • High level interpersonal skills with ability and empathy to work in a family focussed and confidential working environment.
