As the Manager Financial Advisory Services (FAS) you will provide financial advisory support and capability development, within a regional context, for Education and Early Childhood.

The position provides support across the two functional areas of Corporate Financeand School Finance, interacting with other business areas including Human Resources, Infrastructure, Information and Communication Technologies and Curriculum.

The Manager FAS reports to the Director Financial Advisory Services whilst maintaining a strong andconsultative relationship with the Regional Director.

This role is offered on a temporary full-time basis, for a period of 6 months, unless otherwise determined.

About the Role

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • This management role works with a small, highly skilled team focused on schools and their investment in student learning.
  • Sound strategies underpinned by policy and procedures and backed by data are developed alongside schools and regional officers.
  • The team work to build capability in financial planning and management to ensure investments are made and compliance is evidenced.
  • The team are valued and trusted partners known for building networks, providing timely and accurate reports and advice.
  • Skilling in understanding how adults learn and engage is valued. Collaborative leadership skilling is appreciated by clients.
  • In addition, the Manager provides financial advice and capability opportunities to the Regional office team supporting schools.
