About the role

The Senior Lifestyle Support Worker leads the team to develop relevant and engaging programs and activities in an efficient and cost-effective manner. They will be responsible for ensuring consumer participation is monitored and recorded and staff are coordinated effectively to deliver programs. This role includes the provision of Flexible Respite to carers either in their home or in the community as well as the design and delivery of programs in a group setting. This position is located in Carlton and alternate work locations may be required.

Your duties include:

Provide operational leadership to the Lifestyle Support Team during program delivery, program planning and program development Plan and facilitate group activities to older people Provide Flexible Respite services to carers in their preferred location Set up and store equipment and resources Participate in client transport, including driving the centre vehicles, inclusive of an 8-seater van

Our ideal candidate:

Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent and/or Certificate IV in Leisure and Health Certificate in Food Handling (unless covered in Certificate 3 above) Proof of qualification to be sighted Current Level 2 First Aid certificate, including CPR, or willingness to complete This position is located at multiple sites, willingness to attend multiple sites is required.

All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Police Check, a Working With Children Check (WWCC), complete a Statutory Declaration, evidence of legal rights to work in Australia, and evidence of vaccination against COVID-19 (3 doses). Additionally, some roles will also require current AHPRA registration and/or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.

Roles that are determined to be Risk Category A or B [staff that have direct and/or indirect contact with body substances and are at higher risk of occupational exposure to infections] will be required to provide evidence of immunisation assessment including Influenza prior to commencement [A] or within 12 weeks of commencement [B]. This is in accordance with the Victorian Minister of Health Mandatory Vaccination Orders for COVID-19 and legislated requirement for influenza vaccination.
