Our Engineering Construction division provides large-scale multidisciplinary project management and construction services. Our delivery of high-quality work within the mining sector has earnt us a solid reputation and enviable relationships with some of the industry's leading operators.

Monadelphous is seeking a high-calibre experienced Senior E&I Project Engineer to be involved in an exciting Oil & Gas project in WA. This long-term project (approx. 2 years) will entail the installation of substations and electrical equipment to support the operations.

As a pivotal team member, your role as Senior Project Engineer will see you involved in every aspect of the project lifecycle from initial project startup in Perth head office and subsequently transitioning to a site-based position undertaking a 2:1 FIFO roster (ex any capital city) during the construction phase. This arrangement ensures that you will have a balanced work-life schedule while contributing to the project's success.

Key responsibilities include:
  1. Work closely with the project manager to ensure project objectives are met on time with respect to cost, safety, and quality
  2. Manage the interface between the engineering and project delivery teams to maintain compliance with the specifications, schedules, and contract
  3. Manage and supervise the resolution of technical queries as required
  4. Lead the procurement and work pack development for the project
  5. Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to other members of the Engineering team
  6. Compile schedule, cost, progress, and forecast reports for the project; ensuring all schedule reporting requirements are met
  7. Provide support to the project team and implement best practice on the project

  • Ideally, 8+ years' experience in Project Engineering on large-scale resources construction projects for similar companies
  • HV experience within the petrochemical sector is highly desirable
  • Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant discipline
  • A methodical approach, high attention to detail and take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of own work
  • Be delivery focused, with a high level of self-motivation and drive to support the project in delivering to a tight schedule
  • Well-developed communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach with the ability to foster interpersonal relationships across all levels
  • Ability to undertake a 2:1 FIFO roster
