About the role

As an experienced commercially-focused, strategic, people leader and the manager of the product team, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of the energy and related products we provide our customers.

As a key leader within the Commercial Team, you will work closely with other senior stakeholders across the business to ensure our product portfolio enables the business to meet our commercial and strategic objectives.

The primary objectives of the role are to analyse and improve the commercial outcomes of the business, through an in-depth understanding of our products (and services), the review and analysis of commercial, customer and product data, and delivery of new and improved products.

You will be accountable for strategic product portfolio management, involving the optimisation of the portfolio to ensure it meets customer needs, is innovative and scalable, seeks and leverages market opportunities, maximises margin and delivers decarbonisation levers.

This includes, but is not limited, to collaborating across the business to enhance and (where appropriate) rationalise our product mix as well as bringing new insight-led opportunities to the table.


About You

  • Experienced leader with track record in developing highly engaged teams and building greater commercial acumen capability in direct reports and other stakeholders
  • Energy industry product experience essential, with experience in emobility, energy solutions and innovation regarded well
  • Demonstrated ability in developing, launching and managing mass consumer products, including scaling innovative products
  • Experience in product principles, including ways of working, development frameworks and portfolio management, including customer and product lifecycle profitability
  • Strong project management skills n Independent and motivated, with ability to drive the delivery of projects and tasks
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate with a range of stakeholders
  • Inquisitive, curious and analytical with the desire to continuously learn, understand and be involved in complex projects
  • Enjoy making a difference, developing people and improving processes within the business
  • Presentation: ability to present to stakeholders in a clearly, concisely and confidently, both verbally and written
  • Demonstrates flexibility, agility and resilience in driving change through collaboration and stakeholder communication. Ability to help define outcomes, through developing solution options, strategies, plans, pathways and products.
  • Experience within utilities, energy or financial services is highly advantegous.
