The Opportunity

In this role, you will be a crucial part of our waste management team, ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of kerbside collection services. Your responsibilities will include delivering services in accordance with agreed-upon standards, monitoring equipment, maintaining records, and assisting in various other areas of waste management as directed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficient Service Delivery: Deliver kerbside collection services efficiently and safely, meeting agreed service levels while adhering to Council policy, local and Victorian laws, and traffic regulations.
  • Equipment Monitoring: Monitor plant and equipment, ensuring daily checks, prestart checks, and services are performed. Maintain vehicles in a neat and clean condition, and liaise with relevant personnel for servicing and maintenance requirements.
  • Flexibility and Teamwork: Assist in other areas of the Waste Team as directed, including but not limited to Wangaratta Organics Processing Facility, Bowser Landfill & Transfer Station, and Ovens Street Offices.
