The Australian Resuscitation Council is a voluntary coordinating body which represents all major groups involved in the teaching and practice of resuscitation. The Australian Resuscitation Council develops and publishes evidence-based guidelines and supports delivery of contemporary Advanced Life Support courses to healthcare professionals. The Council's objective is to foster uniformity and standardisation in resuscitation techniques and terminology and ultimately improve outcomes for everyone in Australia.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Education Manager will play a key role in promoting a value driven culture, managing people and stakeholders effectively, overseeing planning, budgeting, and resource management, and monitoring performance to optimize outcomes. You will advise the CE on education program priorities, develop and implement a strategic plan for education programs, including expanding course programs nationwide and maintaining a strong instructor faculty. Additionally, you will ensure the continuous improvement of program quality and effectiveness, while providing comprehensive education advice and services. Successful engagement and information exchanges with Council and external stakeholders is paramount. Overseeing education functions operationally and contributing to team collaboration and improvement efforts is crucial to this role. Finally, it is essential the Education Manager upholds the values and policies of the Australian Resuscitation Council.

To be considered for this role, you have an extensive background in designing, coordinating, and evaluating education programs for healthcare professionals, along with a track record of excellence. You have strong strategic planning skills and the ability to lead and deploy organisational changes, along with a proficiency in systems development and implementation. You are an experienced leader who possesses effective communication skills, and the capacity to foster positive relationships across diverse professional backgrounds and communities. You have a proven track record for working to the highest standard in autonomy, excellent organisational skills, critical thinking, and computer literacy to be considered for this role. It is expected that the incumbent will be based in the Melbourne office, however this position can be done remotely.
