A full-time vacancy exists for an enthusiastic, motivated and flexible person to work as part of a team to provide support in the areas of Grounds and Maintenance in a large, bustling College.
As a key member of the Grounds and Maintenance team, you will be involved in the general work of maintaining the College grounds, working with both academic and facilities staff on tasks to support the students of the College.
Key accountabilities include:
- Amenity and Garden maintenance
- Maintenance and preparation of Sport Fields and surrounds
- Trade supplies and consumables inventory tracking
- Install, operate and maintain irrigation systems
- Support landscape development projects
What you will need to succeed:
- Proven experience in similar roles
- Certificate III, or relevant experience, in Sports Turf management
- Experience with cricket pitch preparation and maintenance
- Experience in operating larger turf machinery
- Sound irrigation skills and grounds management knowledge
- Relevant industry ticketing/licences, including chainsaw operation and Chemcert accreditation
- Able to demonstrate basic computer skills
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and self motivated, able to work without supervision
- Able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills with a range of people
- Able to take and give instruction
- Willing to learn and undertake training
- Working with Children Check
- Agreeing to the Trinity College Child Safe Policies
- Training in Responding to Risk of Harm, Abuse and Neglect in Education and Care settings
