The Opportunity

To maintain our clients exciting portfolio of leases to ensure the best locations available are secured and occupancy costs fit within their operational model.


The Responsibilities

  • Monitor occupancy costs across the portfolio
  • Negotiate lease renewals & exits as required
  • Negotiate lease reductions as required to maintain viability of retail operations
  • Manage disruptions to leases due to centre redevelopments, competitors etc
  • Represent the company with all national landlords to conduct regular portfolio reviews
  • Work with stakeholders to assist with relevant information for new lease negotiations
  • Manage approvals for all new & existing leases
  • Analyse portfolio to identify opportunities for additional locations
  • Ensure proposed lease terms meet with company requirements for all new leases
  • Coordinate lease reviews by property counsel & negotiate amendments as required
  • Make recommendations on improvements to leasing policies & processes
  • Engage in special projects as required

Ideal Skills/Experience

  • Strong knowledge of the Retail Leases Act across Australia
  • Working knowledge of legislation & industry standards
  • Exceptional problemsolving skills
  • Ability to provide commercially viable solutions
  • Proven ability to work within a dynamic task environment
  • Think clearly under pressure
  • Retail shopping centre and/or franchise experience
  • Experience in Franchise business is desirable
  • Demonstrated Commercial Acumen
