Global Logistics provides sophisticated supply chain solutions, from end-to-end or part solutions, warehousing and distribution to dedicated transport solutions, across the globe and to some of the most remote corners of the world.

We provide specialised integrated logistics services to customers in a range of industries including mining, chemical, gases, steel and plastics, petroleum, energy and Australian oil and gas industries and agriculture. We offer integrated value-based logistics solutions that bring greater operating efficiency and savings to our customers' supply chains.

We have a new opportunity for an inquisitive Finance Analyst to join our Resource & Industrial's division, supporting our Mining, Oils and Gas portfolio.

As Finance Analyst, you will support the Commercial Manager Hub in analyzing financial data, providing accurate / timely insights and supporting operational decision-making within our organization. You will focus on forecasts and budgets, the financial planning processes and adhoc reporting.

As Finance Analyst, you will:

  • Business Partner with the Commercial; Finance; GMs; Regional Managers & Site-based operations management.
  • Conduct financial analysis: Collect, interpret, and analyze financial data, including revenue, expenses, and balance sheet related positions.
  • Prepare financial reports: Prepare forecasts, budgets, monthly results to support the decision-making processes.
  • Provide accurate and timely development of the baseline budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance indicators: Identify trends and potential areas of concern and improvement.
  • Conduct industry and market research: Identify opportunities and risks that may impact financial performance.
To ensure your success you will possess:
  • Previous experience in a commercial/finance analysis, with strong analytical capability and sound commercial acumen
  • Sound accounting knowledge and internal controls
  • Demonstrated analytical and attention to detail skills, with the ability to manage deliverables and deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and investigation skills
  • Advanced Excel skills and financial modeling skills
  • Proficient in using data visualization tools and creating impactful reports - PowerBI experience highly advantageous.
  • Oil and Gas / Logistics Industry experience advantageous, not essential
  • CPA qualified or on the way to completing
