The Opportunity:


As a key member of the HAMBS Scrum team, you will conduct and deliver the business process or systems analysis associated with Incidents and BAU service requests, projects and minor enhancements.

With a priority on maintaining the stability and availability of AIA and vendor managed IT solution.

You will also be called upon as a leadership delegate when required and be able to influence decisions in technical and leadership meetings.


To do this successfully you will:

  • Triaging and actioning Incidents and BAU service requests
  • Acting as a leadership delegate when required, Influence decisions in project planning events and lead and share knowledge within the team by managing escalations
  • Demonstrate sound judgement in managing technology and business risk in production support situations
  • Analyse and document business/functional processes and requirements using standard analysis methodologies and tools.
  • Work with the Product Owner to maintain the product backlog, providing assistance in adding, removing, estimating and prioritising work.
  • Manage the flow of user requirements from the product backlog to the planning meetings, providing a joinedup overall view of the solution requirements at a detailed level.
  • Provide support and participate in testing activities including unit testing, system testing and System Integration Testing ensuring adequate project coverage.
  • Some afterhours/public holiday support may be required to conduct post verification testing of changes.
  • Previous experience in a senior technical support/analyst position
  • Strong analysis background, with demonstrated experience working within a production support environment and delivery environment
  • 3+ years HAMBS experience (supporting member communications and product configuration)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken evidenced by the ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
  • Strong analytical skills covering problem definition and validation, solution development and selection, requirements gathering and specification and test planning
  • Competent in the execution of project analysis through a formal Project Lifecycle and a variety of methodologies including SDLC, agile, etc.

Preferred/Desirable skills:

  • Experience in the Private Health Insurance industry highly desirable
- e5 Workflow experience highly desirable

  • SQL skills highly desirable
