About the role


TAFE NSW is looking for a qualified, experienced Hairdressing and/or Barbering individual as Education Support Officer within the Hair and Beauty section at West Wollongong campus.


The Education Support Officer - Hairdressing and/or Barbering is responsible for a range of activities, which directly and indirectly support learning and enhance the educative process.


You will love this position if you have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, are passionate about providing high-quality customer service, have the commitment and ability to support learning in an adult environment and are confident with a range of technologies.


To be considered for the role you will have:

  • Certificate III in Hairdressing and/or Certificate III in Barbering
  • 3 years post qualification industry experience
  • Highlevel interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate with students
  • Demonstrated high level customer services skills
  • Commitment and ability to support learning in an adult environment
  • Ability to understand the content of the learning materials and the processes

Highly regarded:

  • The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent
