About the Roles

  • Casual hours available across Registered Nurse, Enrolled Nurse and Assistant in Nursing roles.
  • Join the team at the Singleton Hospital to provide excellent care in a rural setting.
  • We would love to meet you if you have a high level of professionalism and strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Assistant in Nursing:

  • You will report to the Registered Nurse and will be required to work morning and evening shifts and weekends.

Enrolled Nurse:

  • You will be working as an AHPRA registered Enrolled Nurse and support the Registered Nurse and Assistants in Nursing to deliver safe, quality and effective healthcare.
  • You will be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Registered Nurse:

  • The successful applicant will be working as a casual Registered Nurse and fulfilling all roles required across a broad area.
  • You would need to demonstrate that you are proactive and well organised, friendly and approachable and have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the multidisciplinary teams including management on a regular basis.

About the Facility/Location

  • Singleton District Hospital is an acute facility with 68 beds, providing health services to the community of Singleton and the surrounding district. A wide range of community health services are also provided through the local Community Health Service. Singleton is a picturesque riverside town in the Hunter Valley with rolling vineyards, colonial heritage and where outdoor adventures await. Just north of Singleton is beautiful Lake St Clair, a popular waterway for fishing, kayaking, sailing and waterskiing. Singleton is on the banks of the Hunter River in NSW and is located 202km northnorthwest of Sydney, and 70 km northwest of Newcastle. Singleton is home to 24,719 people (2021 census) and is the perfect place to explore the acclaimed wineries and unspoiled countryside.
  • Singleton is a picturesque riverside town in the Hunter Valley, with rolling vineyards and plenty of outdoor adventure opportunities.
  • Singleton is just over a 2hour drive north of Sydney, and only an hour from Newcastle, with trains from Sydney stopping regularly.
