About the Role

Provide leadership and overall management of Macintyre Wind Farm, its staff and contractors. The Site Manager will manage direct activities of the Wind Farm and be responsible for the safety, security, performance, compliance, maintenance, costs, quality and stakeholder management. The O&M of the site WTG's will be performed by the OEM, the daily management of this supplier will be a key responsibility of this role.
Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the wind farm, including safety, operations, environment, facilities, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Foster a positive HSE culture and provide daily HSE leadership.
  • Lead the site team collaboratively.
  • Oversee the transition from construction to operations.
  • Manage contractors to ensure quality services and HSE compliance.
  • Plan and oversee O&M activities, ensuring timely and budget-compliant maintenance.
  • Maximize wind farm production and revenue.
  • Execute compliance and risk control activities on time.
  • Report wind farm performance against KPIs and objectives.
  • Track improvement initiatives for asset performance.
  • Maintain and utilize the site Computer Maintenance Management System.
  • Follow asset reliability best practices to reduce downtime and costs.
  • Be available for site emergencies outside core working hours.
  • Manage community and landowner relations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with Central Support functions.
  • Support Operations projects and provide leadership across the department.
  • Draft, review, and approve all necessary documents, procedures, and policies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualification in a relevant engineering or business discipline
  • 5+years' experience in asset management or similar
  • Generation asset experience (beneficial)
  • Previous leadership skills and the capability to direct, motivate and manage a team of employees.
  • Understanding of Australian regulatory reporting and compliance requirements for generators (beneficial)
  • Experience preparing and managing annual operational expenditure budgets
  • Experience in supervision of external service providers
  • Sound understanding of mechanical and electrical plant, equipment, communications and control systems as related to energy generation assets
  • Applied knowledge on reporting systems
