ABOUT THE ROLE*The Family Time Worker role is a casual role which will require the individual to have flexibility in when they are able to work, however being able to work on weekends is a must The right applicant may also have the opportunity to complete Youth and Disability Support Worker shifts where appropriate.


Where an individual has been removed from the family home by Community Services due to concerns about the individual's health and well-being, participation in supervised family time allows the children and young people to remain connected to each other in fun and meaningful ways.


The Family Time Worker is the adult responsible for the safety and wellbeing of the individual during the supervised family time.

The Family Time Worker also provides accurate and objective supervision reports centred around the six dimensions of quality care.

Your tasks can include:

  • Facilitate family time visits between children and young people, and their family members in accordance with individual needs outlined in family time plans, identified in Community Services referrals and ongoing Case Conference reports.
  • To ensure the safety and wellbeing of individuals during Family Time visits.
  • To administer medication where necessary and as directed.
  • To accurately and objectively report feedback via a written report after each visit.
  • Maintain and ensure confidentiality.
  • Ensure that children are not exposed to unnecessary or unapproved risks during family visits.
  • Report to Allambi Care and Community Services all cases of suspected risk of harm to children.

ABOUT YOU*To be successful in the role you will need to meet the following Essential Criteria:
  • Current First Aid Certificate (Provide First Aid; Course Code HLTAID003)
  • A current driver's licence
  • A vehicle that can transport upwards of 4 people
  • Comprehensive Car Insurance
  • Ability to work on weekends
  • Willingness to participate in preemployment medical checks
  • Two professional references
