Graduate Procurement

About the opportunity:

Real Work with Real Outcomes - Starting in January 2025, our program offers a two-year fixed-term contract with the potential for permanent placement. This immersive, hands-on program provides practical learning through fundamental tasks and meaningful work. Participants will complete two 12-month rotational placements, gaining a comprehensive technical and commercial skills training blend.

The program includes continuous coaching, mentorship, and formal training, allowing participants to rotate through diverse business units. This structure ensures a thorough understanding of operations and strategic initiatives, combining on-the-job learning with formal education.

As a Graduate Procurement, you will have the opportunity to

  • Engage in projects focused on procurement strategy development and execution.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvement.
  • Gain insights into effective supplier relationship management practices, ensuring a robust and reliable supply chain.
  • Benefit from rotations across various procurement roles, deepening your understanding of supply chain dynamics and procurement best practices.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • A genuine passion for Procurement within the operational context of steel manufacturing and distribution,
  • Australian/NZ citizenship or a visa granting unlimited working rights,
  • Completion of an Australian tertiary degree within the past three years (or set to conclude in 2024).
  • Less than two years of fulltime, disciplinespecific work experience.
