Director, Institute for Safety, Compensation and Recovery Research

The Opportunity
As the Director of the Institute for Safety, Compensation and Recovery Research (ISCRR), you will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being of Australian workers and their families. Collaborating closely with WorkSafe Victoria, your responsibilities will involve shaping the institute's strategic research agenda, overseeing research programs, and building strong networks locally and internationally.
Your main tasks will include:
- Strategic Leadership: Drive ISCRR's vision and day-to-day operations forward
- Stakeholder Engagement: Foster partnerships with WorkSafe, regulators, and industry leaders for impactful research outcomes
- Thought Leadership: Contribute to key discussions on workplace health, mental health, safety, and injury recovery
- People Leadership: Supervise senior staff and lead the ISCRR team
- Team Development: Cultivate a high-performing team focused on excellence and innovation
- Research Excellence: Ensure the production of valuable research and knowledge transfer activities
- Financial Stewardship: Manage budget efficiently to meet ISCRR's commitments
This role is designated as a Professor (Practice) in Workplace Safety, Health, and Well-being, specifically tailored for professionals with industry expertise. Previous academic status is not mandatory for this position.
Qualified candidates may also be considered for an Associate Professor role.
