Test Manager – VIC based

  • Feb 2024 start, 12 months contract
  • VIC based-hybrid work arrangement can be negotiated.
  • Australian Citizens with ability to obtain a Baseline clearance.

Infinite Consulting is seeking an experienced Test Manager for our esteemed Federal Government Client for a start in the New Year

About the Role:

As a Test Manager, you will own the Test Strategy and have accountability for implementing a test automation first approach. You will grow and continually develop new in-house test capabilities, with a clear directive for test automation within the context of CI/CD delivery structures.

The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Take ownership of the Test Strategy, setting direction for the automation plan and implementation.
  • Provide vision and high-level technical guidance for automation processes and projects.
  • Develop the test capability, with an emphasis on test automation, utilizing people, processes and technology.
  • Manage the planning and execution of testing to meet committed delivery dates.
  • Provide regular updates on testing status in consultation with Release Train Engineers.
  • Continually improve testing practices and standards, including tooling, quality insights, metrics, reporting and advanced synthetic testing approaches.

Essential experience:

  • Experience in leading testing activities in complex environments.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in Software Automation, preferably in the design, development and implementation of automated tests, as well as the associated tools, frameworks and infrastructures.
  • Strong understanding of agile and DevOps delivery methodologies.
  • Expert "hands-on" technical proficiency across a variety of tools, including Selenium and Cucumber.
  • Knowledge of testing in a Salesforce environment – Desirable.
