This is our promise to the Victorian community and the reason we exist.$157,266 per annum + Superannuation Full Time, Ongoing Position Geelong (Hybrid - 3 days per week in the office)About the role Return to Work Victoria (RTWV) is to be established as part of reforms to modernise the Victorian workers' compensation Scheme, focussed on supporting workers through initiatives such as supporting employers to prevent injuries and help them intervene earlier to address emerging mental health concerns and providing pathways for injured workers to return to their existing jobs, or find suitable alternatives.

The Senior Manager, Governance and Planning will lead and manage RTWV governance forums including the independent stakeholder forum appointed by Government, Interdepartmental Steering Committee and Expenditure Review Committee submissions together with monthly reporting to Department of Treasury and Finance.

The Senior Manager, Governance and Planning will also lead a team and is accountable for the development, governance and evaluation of the Return to Work Program.


Key Accountabilities:

Lead a team of multidisciplinary specialists to develop, manage and promote key programs of work aligned to RTWV objectives Lead the planning, prioritisation and development of the annual RTWV program Manage communications for governance bodies, including the Program Governance Group, Board Advisory Committees and Interdepartmental Committees (IDCs), in relation to RTWV programs and deliverables Determine the best approach to implement new or changed policy and make strategic recommendations accordingly Establish and adhere to governance, risk management, change control, evaluation and reporting frameworks, oversee the development of marketing and communication plans and materials, and ensure operational capability to achieve required outcomes Please ensure you click here to view the Position Description provided for additional information on accountabilities for this role.

About you You are an experienced Senior Manager who has a real passion for delivering upon strategic objectives and uplifting capability.

As someone who is flexible and agile you will also have excellent problem solving, analytical and conceptual skills combined with the ability to deliver quality outcomes within tight timeframes.


Skills and Experience:

Previous experience in a senior management role supporting delivery of medium to large scale programs Expertise in governance, risk, reporting, communications and program oversight within an organisation of similar size and complexity Excellent interpersonal and broad stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to negotiate with others to manage complex issues to resolution Strong visionary skills, identifying and aligning program outcomes to strategic objectives Passion to motivate, generate energy and commitment, and an ability to guide and work effectively within a small, dynamic team Outstanding working knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes Working with Us At Work Safe, we aspire for every employee to feel connected, safe and valued in their team, for teams to feel valued in the workplace, and for Work Safe to be valued in the community.
