About the role:


Using your boilermaker or mechanical fitter trade, this role will be responsible for the efficient operational maintenance of Aurizon's rollingstock to ensure the safe and efficient running of Aurizon's fleet within the Bulk Central business.

The role of Rollingstock Maintainer will be responsible for the following:

  • Undertaking examination and inspection of rollingstock to identify any faults or defects.
  • Controlling the movement of rollingstock within the area of operations and carry out instructions concerning on rollingstock movements and safe working.
  • Carrying out repairs, component change out, servicing and modification to rollingstock.
  • Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with technical & operational specifications.
  • Providing material requirements to ensure safe and efficient running of rollingstock.

About you:

  • Cert III in Engineering or equivalent (mandatory)
  • High level of knowledge of functions, defects & fault findings with equipment
  • Unrestricted 'C' class Driver's License
  • Forklift License (preferred)
  • Great attention to detail and problemsolving skills
  • Sound verbal communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Substantial level of skills in repair, maintenance & overhaul of machinery
