Lime Recruitment is currently working with a government department to recruit 3 X Platform Engineer contracts to 30/06/2025 and 13/12/2024 based at Carseldine CBD and working from home.

In these roles you will:

  • Develop and maintain detailed technical knowledge of the systems and services, including an understanding of business usage.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical standards and support documentation.
  • Develop high-quality DevOps friendly platform components that bake in scalability, fault tolerance and security, providing a measurable benefit to terms of delivery time and risk to help power our digital transformation through our REST APIs and Microservices.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency by automating existing processes.
  • Champion best practices and provides hands-on technical support to accelerate Cloud learning among peers.
  • Work with quality assurance specialists to ensure your deliverables have an appropriate level of unit-, integration- and/or functional tests.
  • Identify complex risks, issues and improvement opportunities and ensure they are escalated as necessary.
  • Identify, analyse, and record, document and manage complex changes in accordance with established ITIL standards and procedures.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders ensuring the governance and security posture of the platform.
  • Ensure that ICT support reference materials are consistently created and maintained including network diagrams, work instructions, quick reference guides and training material.
  • Focus on managing the lifecycle patching required for our microservice platform including Kubernetes and supporting technologies such as EKS, Trivy, Fluentbit, kube-bench, metric server, Nginx Ingress

You will have:

  • Experience in one or more of the following technologies AWS, EKS/Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub Actions
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in the lifecycle patching required for our microservice platform Knowledge of Cloud environment security best practices
  • Proficiency in writing easy-to-read technical documentation
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and cohesively in a team-based environment
  • AWS Associate or Professional level certifications highly regarded.
  • Experience in installing Karpenter into AWS EKS/Kubernetes environment (Platform Engineer Karpenter)
