The Opportunity

We now have an opportunity available for an Infrastructure Manager to join the Integrated Operations Planning team.

The Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for leading the assessment, planning and delivery of strategic airport precinct infrastructure projects and requirements across the Jetstar business.

The position will manage the interface between Jetstar Commercial, Jetstar Operations, Qantas Group Commercial Airports and Leasing teams on infrastructure requirements.


As an Infrastructure Manager your accountabilities will include:

  • Identify and drive opportunities to reduce costs and manage strategic growth.
  • Lead complex business-wide infrastructure projects with multiple stakeholders at senior and working levels.
  • Influence stakeholders across different layers of the Qantas Group and external organisations.
  • Lead Jetstar's review and critique of Airport Authorities capital investment and major developments plans.
  • Ensure Jetstar's operational and commercial requirements and priorities are effectively articulated to relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist with commercial negotiations and help drive optimal operational outcomes through airport authorities and operators.
  • Ensure that projects are planned, resourced and delivered in line with Jetstar's operational and commercial objectives within established timelines.
  • Lead seasonal assessment of infrastructure requirements to support schedule design and delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to release infrastructure constraints.
  • Engage with Commercial and Operational teams and other key agencies.
  • Comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Ensure project risks are effectively communicated and escalated appropriately.
If you bring the following qualification and experience, then we would love to hear from you:

  • Bachelor's Degree qualifications in business/aviation, or related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated industry experience.
  • Certified project management qualifications.
  • Commercial and business acumen with a demonstrated ability to maintain a commercial focus.
  • Experience in implementing change in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of aviation compliance requirements.
  • Highly developed conceptual, analytical and strategic planning skills.
  • Collaborative working style with an ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve outcomes in a complex business environment.
  • Strong verbal and written presentation skills with the ability to communicate information that tells a story, highlights key insights and influences business decisions.
