About Us:

The Salvation Army Family Violence Services provides a range of programs supporting adults and children experiencing domestic and family violence, including crisis accommodation, outreach, and counselling.

We have an incredible permanent full-time opportunity for two Family Violence Team Leaders to provide supervision, support and guidance to the case managers supporting adult and child victim-survivors staying in refuge and accessing outreach support.

The Family Violence Team Leaders will apply specialist family violence knowledge and experience to support staff undertaking intake, risk and needs assessment, engaging clients in goal setting and case plans and collaborating with other services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Family Violence service and practice management including oversight and implementation of internal practices, policies, procedures, frameworks, and guidelines
  • Provide supervision and line management to Specialist Family Violence Practitioners and Support Workers to ensure high-quality service delivery that is safety focussed, person and child-centred, inclusive, strength based and trauma informed
  • Programmatic management including oversight of quality and compliance to ensure accreditation standards are met
  • Build and maintain relationships with other community services and organisations to facilitate collaborative practices and holistic responses

About you:

  • Degree qualification in Social Work or similar and demonstrated relevant work experience
  • Experience in the family violence sector and managing/coordinating residential care settings
  • Experience in managing and overseeing case management and outreach support services
  • WWCC and willingness to undergo police clearance as part of the recruitment process
