Hobsons Bay City Council is looking for Brooklyn locals who want to kick-start their careers in the conservation industry.

The successful applicants will assist the conservation and projects teams to implement the Greening Brooklyn project.

The project will improve the presentation of open spaces and reserves throughout Brooklyn for the benefit and enjoyment of all residents.


Daily tasks will be varied, and adaptability is required to perform this role well, however, common tasks include revegetation, weed control and maintenance works.

We are looking for motivated individuals with a can-do attitude, who are able to follow directions, manage their time, ensure compliance with OH&S requirements and complete their daily tasks in a safe manner.

A Victorian Drivers license is required for this position.


This position would be suitable for an entry-level individual with an educational background and/or interest in the environment and landscaping.

Being a project in the Brooklyn area, a local resident would be viewed favourably.

There will be some skills training opportunities for entry-level applicants.
