The mission of the Security Assurance Team is to drive security best practice by monitoring, measuring and assessing the effectiveness of Suncorp's security controls.

Key to this is the development of close working relationships with peers, internal customers and service providers.


The Security Advisers within the team provide technical expertise, work across teams on complex problems, develop roadmaps and strategies, and contribute to the delivery of service excellence.


What you'll do

  • Develop strategies, roadmaps and operational plans to define and implement Suncorp's vulnerability scanning and penetration testing program
  • Ensure scheduled assessments are undertaken
  • Work across teams (including chairing vulnerability management forums) to ensure that the risks identified and the agreed mitigation actions are recorded and regularly tracked
  • Work with project teams to conduct security assessments of external service providers to ensure appropriate security controls are in place
  • Develop strategies, roadmaps and operational plans to drive the implementation of appropriate IT access governance activities across Suncorp
  • Work with internal business teams to ensure that IT access governance processes and technologies are in place and functioning effectively
  • Develop strategies, roadmaps and operational plans to drive the implementation of appropriate Data Leakage Prevention (DLP) controls across Suncorp
  • Work with internal business teams to ensure that DLP processes and technologies are in place and functioning effectively.
  • Work with internal business teams to manage the lifecycle of cryptographic keys used to secure electronic financial transactions

What you'll bring

  • Background in IT experience within a professional environment
  • IT Security experience within a large organisation
  • Hands on experience with risk management practices and processes
  • Experience in facilitating/coordinating Payment Card Industry (PCI) penetration testing is preferable
