The team designs, builds, supports, and continuously improves end user solutions end to end, enabling our customers to transform their business and modernise their end user experience. You will problem-solve technical issues for customers to show how these products can make businesses more productive, collaborative, and innovative. As a Associate SOE Engineer you will manage the day-to-day operations of the Customers endpoint systems with minimal direction and engage in project work when they arise. You will have a key focus on ensuring an exceptional customer experience to Datacom's endpoint customer base.We place a high degree of focus on developing our staff internally and offer financial incentives for engineers that certify in the technologies we use to support our customers.This role is open in all our Datacom offices in Australia (Melbourne, and Sydney).What You'll DoAs an Associate SOE Engineer, you will be responsible, but not limited to:

  • Good technical knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager including SCCM and Intune
  • Good technical knowledge of Active Directory - Group Policy Management
  • Basic Scripting ability (PowerShell, VBScript, Batch)
  • Experience with Windows 10 task sequencing and end point configuration
  • Experience with facilitating large and enterprise scale software deployments
  • Strong technical knowledge in performing whitelisting activities with tools such Airlock Digital
  • Maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements of environment wide configurations including user policies, device policies, security policies, firmware, drivers, and automation scripts through enterprise grade endpoint management platforms (Intune/SCCM,
  • Ensure outstanding levels of customer satisfaction by demonstrating timely, professional, and attentive responses to customers and colleagues
  • Operate and contribute to the winning culture of a high performing team
  • Identify service improvements, efficiencies and/or cost reductions for Datacom customers
  • Follow best practice methodologies and adhere to recognised ITIL processes (e.g., change/release).
  • Produce, deploy and maintain security policies
  • Threat prevention, analysis and detection
  • Assist with projects as required and act as the lead
  • Minimum of 2+ years' experience in SOE migrations, projects, and implementation
  • Experience in macOS operating systems using JAMF would be advantageous
  • Good understanding of Essential 8 controls

What You'll BringYou will have 5 years' IT industry experience, preferably within an IT managed service provider, with approximately 2 years' experience in a similar Associate SOE Engineer role. You will possess exceptional knowledge of Windows 10, 11. Along with good working knowledge of networking and TCP/IP, AD, DHP, DNS, certificate services and Enterprise applications. You will have exceptional skills in endpoint management platforms, System Centre Configuration Manager, Intune. You will bring exceptional troubleshooting, customer service, communication, and prioritisation skills; and will be comfortable and able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
