We are looking for a vibrant leader to be part of a small but connected team, someone who can maintain but also grow programs within the centre and have a hands on approach in via service delivery.


About your new role
The Programs Team Leader will be an efficient well-organised, self-motivated person, showing strong commitment to staff and training. Emphasis on leadership and motivation in a challenging environment will require excellent communication and presentation skills.

You will provide opportunities for participation and membership growth within the program areas in the centre, with a focus on growth, development and assistance with current or future programs.

Responsible in driving new business and ensuring current programs improve in quality, with the aim of program best practices. The role will also consist of engaging with local Schools and community in growing the program activities.

You will support the Programs Coordinator to lead a large team of Instructors and coordinate all activities and roster them using their strengths to get the best out of staff and the program.


To be successful in this role, you will have

  • Current First Aid & CPR
  • Office administration and Computer acumen
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Cert III or Cert IV in fitness

Desirable but not essential

  • Knowledge of Community Recreation
  • Previous experience in sales of memberships / enrolments
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in leadership and management

Recreation
Our Recreation Team is a close-knit community of energetic people-people, with a passion for staying active and helping others.

From our Duty Managers and Customer Service Officers, to our Instructors and Coordinators, the team are responsible for transforming our 24 Recreation Centres into warm, inclusive and safe spaces - providing access to health, fitness and recreation opportunities for those who need it most.
