Sales Supervisor

The primary responsibility of the Sales Supervisor is maximising sales of the company's range of companion animal products to veterinary clinics, pet retailers and wholesalers in a defined territory, as well as the planning and implementation of sales activities across the defined sales team.

This position is a support role to the Regional Sales Manager and is responsible for developing, managing and motivating the sales team and driving a culture of high performance.

The Sales Supervisor sits within the Animal Health organization and reports to the companion animal Regional Sales Manager - Northern Region AU

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include, however not limited to:

  • Selling Companion Animal products to key veterinary and pet retail accounts throughout the region to achieve a set sales budget and desired market share across all key brands.
  • In conjunction with the Regional Sales Manager
  • Northern Region AU execute growth strategies to veterinary clinics and pet retailers to deliver on sales targets.
  • Lead and support state sales activities by optimising geographical territories and sales opportunities.
  • Together with the Regional Sales Manager provide direction, coaching and mentoring to those in the Companion Animal sales team and ensure that all employees have robust development plans.
  • Provide input into corporate and business unit marketing plans and strategies.
  • Responsible for driving sales in own territory through implementation of marketing initiatives, execution of sales techniques and effective customer relations.
  • Create efficiencies that maximise face to face call time and optimal call cycles with key customers.
  • Implement customer segmentation and assist territory planning to align with business unit strategy.
  • Entrench Aslan Other-Centred Selling principles into the companion animal team culture through ongoing coaching, mentoring and leadership.
  • Provide account focused activities and work with veterinary wholesalers, key veterinary accounts and the pet industry and their sales representatives to maximise results.

What You Must Have

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (scientific, marketing or business qualification preferred)
  • A high level of field and sales proficiency with experience in both sales and sales supervision.
  • An excellent understanding of territory and people management with the ability to coach and develop a sales team.
  • Demonstrated track record in sales.
  • Solid experience in a related environment.
  • Ability to follow corporate policies and processes.
