About the role

Activities in this role include complex trouble shooting, repair, maintenance and installation of communication and networking equipment, instrumentation and control equipment, digital radio and microwave service equipment and SCADA and Telemetry systems to support the operation of water and sewerage automation networks.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Diploma of Electrical Engineering OR Certificate III / IV Instrumentation & Control OR demonstrated equivalent qualifications with relevant experience.
  • A current NSW Electrical Supervisors Licence.
  • A current Class C Drivers Licence.
  • A valid Construction - General Induction Card - NSW WorkSafe or equivalent.
  • A current Safe Working at Heights certification or a willingness to obtain this certification.

Other important information

  • The salary range for this position sits between $82.9k - $99.5k plus a weekly $18.28 per week working allowance plus 11% superannuation
  • This is a Permanent full-time role.
  • This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight.
  • This role is located at the various Works Depots and Treatment Plant Works across the Central Coast.
  • Successful candidates will be required to have vaccinations against Hepatitis A and B and Tetanus.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be required to undertake and pass a Confined Spaces medical.

Council will be creating an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
