Job Introduction

The role of Assistant Manager lies at the core of our operations, and our Franchise Owners are constantly seeking fresh talent to lead the teams that contribute to making Subway the top choice for individuals seeking quick and nutritious meals.

If you possess experience in managing within a fast-paced retail setting, we are keen to hear from you.

Main Responsibilities
  • Complete morning shift duties in accordance with the Opening Sheet Duties in-store
  • Assist in overseeing store operations
  • Monitor product quality and customer service standards, as well as supervise front of store appearance and outdoor areas
  • Conduct Stocktake, WISR, Control Sheet, and submit after review by the Manager. Adjust Wages Time Sheet for Manager's review
  • Place orders for drinks, vegetables, milk on the specified day, and the Countrywide order in the absence of the manager
  • Stay informed of store expenditures when completing the WISR and report any overages to the Manager
  • Handle store takings when necessary
  • Communicate store operation standards and new procedures to staff as needed
  • Provide training to new team members
  • Be accessible to other staff for guidance on new training methods and for leadership and assistance
  • Set an example by delivering outstanding customer service
  • Notify the Manager of all customer complaints and address and resolve all customer complaints in the absence of the manager
  • Immediately report equipment malfunctions to the manager and generally maintain equipment. Act promptly in case of equipment issues if the manager is unavailable
  • Effectively implement and manage change in a constructive and positive manner
  • Stay informed of and adhere to required health and safety standards
  • Uphold store food, safety, and hygiene standards consistently
  • Maintain your uniform standards, including wearing your name badge
  • Other duties may be necessary as circumstances require and must be discussed with and approved by the Manager before implementation
